Popular forms of physical activity among our members.  It offers comradery, exercise enjoyment, proper form ques coached throughout class, and you will be achieving general fitness goals and maintaining your mobility.  And you would be surprised how fit my seniors are!  So age is not a limit at Model A!!

5 Week Small Group Specialty Training

Take it up a notch with a Specialty class.  Personal Trainers will be encouraging you and coaching you to push a little harder per your ability.  Form correction will be dialed in for you specifically.  We designed this 5 week platform as a cost effective way to get with a Personal Trainer without the one-on-one cost.  You are in a group but the commitment and focus you receive is personalized.

The old saying “you do your job and I’ll do mine. “ Personal Trainers are educated to work with a client based on the needs and wants.  Why take time to learn everything they know.  Goals are achieved when you have programs that can be exicuted for your needs and wants.  Women over 40 killing themselves with cardio….STOP it’s time to get someone trained and knows what will and will not serve you.

Orientation

New to working out – or maybe it has been a while.  No worries we have your back.  We offer a FREE orientation and first program set up.  You will be guided thru a full workout with Cameron Ingool the owner of the club.  She will take time to make you familiar and comfortable with working out.  She will cater this orientation to YOUR wants and needs and gently coach you in a different direction if she feels it would serve your needs better.  So be sure to schedule that when you join.

Strong Spinn

Not ready for an hour ride?  Want some weights and cardio blended together?  This class is perfect for you.  Our ride layout is 7-8 minutes on the bike, 4 strength movements off the bike.  We go through this rotation 3 times and you’re done.  Great balance of just enough cardio and just enough strength & balance. 

45 minute class

Strong Upper Body

This is a strength focused class.  It is not about chasing after easy reps.  We are encouraging you to do fewer reps and more weight.  Studies show to increase lean muscle you need to lift heavier.  This is where we COACH you towards building leaner stronger muscles not bulky muscles.  Most women especially are scared to get bulky from lifting heavier – Let ME prove you WRONG!

Strong Bodies

Functional fitness means you will be using your full body as you do in your daily life but with the challenge of weights.  We will utilize TRX bands, wall ball throws, KB swings, heavy carry, battle ropes and much more.  This is station driven so you are working at your own pace and ability.  We are going to build you a strong, FUNCTIONAL Body.

Yoga (warm)

Yoga is for anyone interested in developing flexibility, stability, balance, and strength for overall health and well-being. The room is dimly lit and gently warmed.  New yoga students practice alongside veteran students in a shared energy that encourages each to experience the power of movement.  This class is suited for ALL fitness levels.

Spinn (30)

The days of hour long SPINN classes are gone.  We are providing short, sweet, and effective classes incorporating strength, endurance, and speed intervals all done indoors.  This is a great stand-alone class or added with one of our 30 minute strength classes prior.

Strong Legs

We hear you!  Everyone says they are looking to develop the “peaches,” aka buttocks.  This class is designed to hit everything below the belt.  Legs on fire for sure.  With committed attendance you will feel and see those toned legs and popping peaches!

Body Blast

Geared to fit ALL fitness levels, every workout challenges the ENTIRE body.  Rotating between high-intensity interval training, medium-intensity strength, and low-intensity periods for recovery.  You will work agility, strength and mind/body!

60 minute class

Rock n' Roll Boot Camp

Who doesn’t like good ole Rock n’ Roll?  Then add an effective station driven strength workout and you have the best way to start your Saturday. Get pumped for the day by pumping up your heart rate first. Leave feeling strong to take on the day.

MAF HIIT Squad

Cardio without running on a treadmill anyone?  This class was designed to be functional cardio.  It is a faster paced class than a traditional strength training class allowing you to challenge your heart rate and endurance.  Strength and balance are always a standard part of class.  This class is excellent for seniors who have a range of motion and balance issues.

Strength & Balance

We all need to be strong, stable and mobile.  The only problem is if you are not consistent the chance of injury from a fall becomes greater.  This is a great class with guidance and coaching for proper form.  The regular attendees of this class have become like family and look forward to the comradery this class offers along with the strength, balance, and mobility.  This class is excellent for seniors who have range of motion and balance issues.

5 Week Small Group

HIIT BOXING

This class is a two-for-one cardio and strength workout that mixes intervals of bodyweight movements and boxing combinations to get your heart pumping and your muscles working.  High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T)

Boxing requires hand-eye coordination.  Punching our Boxmaster requires focused movements and amazing recall that will challenge your muscles AND your mind.

Boxing is a great mood-booster and stress reliever as well.  What other form of exercise gets your endorphins pumping, your body moving, and allows you to let out your pent-up aggression?

Restorative Fascia Stretching

Combination of myofascial release techniques with active and / or isolated stretching.  You will utilize props (such as tennis balls, yoga strap and bolsters) to help our bodies relax into stretches.  Restore your fascia to a more flexible and mobile state.  By activating, relaxing and restoring your fascia, you can reach your functional fitness goals faster. Class is broken into 3 parts:  Activate, Relax & Restore, and Reform.  

Get FIT with Deidra
Have you wanted to work with a personal trainer but it’s not in the budget?  Or you are just scared? Not sure what to do? This is a cost-effective personal training session in a small group (5-12 people) setting while still working on your own personal goal(s).  You will get the benefits of one-on-one training in a team environment.  Each session will consist of a variety of exercises with different modalities and progressions each week.

Deidra Anderson

Deidra, like most women, became a mom and put herself and her health on the back burner. She noticed pounds starting to creep on and clothes getting tighter. She decided to get a bike and get “back in shape.” Reality hit when couldn’t ride 5 miles without getting out of breath.  

She did not let this setback deter her from getting back in shape. After joining Model A Fitness in 2003 she started resistance training and adopted a healthy way of eating. 

Deidra started off with a simple 5K with some friends. It was not easy but she realized with proper training she could do better. She went on to compete in a few half and full marathons as well as sprint triathlons.

 When Deidra attended a fitness seminar, she realized she was eager to learn more and wanted to use that knowledge to help others. This new passion inspired her to earn her personal training and nutrition certification. You will find Deidra constantly educating herself on the most current techniques to suit each client’s goals.

Mike Lefever

Mike started as an athlete and turned into a true fitness warrior.  Mike brings his “A” game to each workout when he is training a client.  Competing in Cross Fit games and workouts himself, he loves to blend the functional training and strength training aspects to each workout, moving your workouts to a whole new level.  You can trust you will not be bored and will leave sweating and accomplished with the work you have completed in your session. 

From learning basic form to taking the most advanced step, Mike has you the whole way.  He likes to combine the best aspects of all styles from boxing and Olympic lifts to traditional strength training and conditioning to CrossFit and plyometric.  Mike says, “I try to keep each workout new and fresh.  I take pride in customizing workouts to each client’s needs and fitness goals.”  

Dave Webster

Coach Dave is a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach.  He began training in 2020 after spending 17 years in the car sales business. 

Dave’s own personal journey includes a weight loss of 100lbs and mental health struggles.  It was through fitness that he was able to take control of both his physical and mental health. 

Dave created ROCKSTRAR Fitness with the goal of empowering those who want to take control of their healthy.  His mission is to educate his clients not only about strength training but a healthy relationship with fitness and nutrition.   ~TURN UP YOUR HEALTH~

We believe weight is just a number.  With fat loss you are looking to dial into eating habits and learn that you cannot work out a bad diet.

We believe more lean muscle burns more calories at rest, and that lean muscle is the cornerstone to enjoying your life as you age.  We are not saying bulky, we are saying stronger, more mobile and capable of living a life you deserve. 

 Cardio

We do not believe in cardio-ing yourself to death.  We want to teach you when and why cardio is needed.  There is a healthy balance and we want to help you find it.  It is never to be used as torcher for a bad day of eating.

JuiceBar

Juice Bar is open to the public.  We try to have a little of everything to serve your needs without running to Bel Air.  We sell an array of products like a mini GNC.  We have supplements: protein powders, creatine, pre-workout powders.  Need a quick drink? RTD protein shakes and pre-workout drinks are in the cooler already cold. We can whip you up a delicious smoothie before or after a hard workout.  Grab a cup of coffee or espresso any time of the day, we can brew it up fresh.  Need healthy pancake mix, flavored seasoning for the grill, or sinless syrups for you coffee?  We sell that also.  Check us out!

Yoga Studio

Yoga classes are included in your membership at this time.  We are looking to expand our Yoga to a full service studio which will then have additional fees outside of the membership.  Our current Yoga class is a balance of breath work, fast moving vinyasas (posture sequences) slow stretching and ends with savasana (relaxation). In this class, we will focus on postures that will counterbalance the actions found in your daily life, such as computer work, and sitting.

Infrared therapy has many roles in the human body. These include detoxification, pain relief, reduction of muscle tension, relaxation, improved circulation, weight loss, skin purification, lowered side effects of diabetes, boosting of the immune system and lowering of blood pressure.We offer many packages for members and non-members

Red Light Therapy Booth

Did you know we have a high powered RED LIGHT BOOTH?  Stop at the front desk we have details.

Near-infrared and red-light therapies provide a transformative treatment with virtually no adverse side effects.  Our red light therapy booth delivers energy to cells by applying a specific range of light wavelengths. Specialty Training

We offer 5-week Small Group Specialty training for members & non-members.  HIIT Boxing, Get Fit with Deidra and Heavy Metal.

M: $50.00 for the 5 week package – you come to assigned class, once per week for 5 weeks and have use of the studio to practice outside of class for 5 weeks while that session runs

NM: $50.00 for the 5 week package only – no use of studio outside of class

$15.00 to drop-in to a single class

$100.00 for a 10 class punch card (member only) you can mix and match going into different classes.  Punch card expires after 3 months

MAF Wellness Center

Where fitness and health become WELLNESS.  We have added many services to the club to take you from being FIT to becoming HEALTHY inside and out for your ALL OVER WELLNESS.
